Great Lives

Great Lives is a history class offered in the Spring Semester at UMW. This is not only a class, but also a public lecture series. Directed by Dr. Crawley, a history professor at UMW, and Charles J. Shields. The series brings biographers and scholars to Fredericksburg to talk about significant lives in history. Some lecture subjects in the spring of 2012 include Juliette Gordon Low, Aaron Burr, The Lovings, and many others. The 2012 season as described by Professor Crawley has “something for everybody.”

For more information on the Chappell Great Lives Lecture series and a complete schedule of the lecture topics visit their page on the UMW website http://www.umw.edu/greatlives/
